Proven in practice

Mining operations face complex challenges in managing water, slurry, and effluent across ever-changing site conditions. Customised pump and pontoon systems are critical to avoid environmental risks, flooding, and costly downtime — yet few suppliers can meet the demands with speed, scale, and precision.

With a ‘whatever it takes’ mindset, Coerco continues to build both credibility and capability across Australia’s mining regions. This is reflected in the company’s ability to design, develop and deliver practical solutions that are designed to help overcome these complex challenges.

Two notable examples include the Kidston Hydro Project in Far North Queensland, and Aqua Energy Group’s floating pontoon project Moranbah.

On the Kidston Hydro Project in Far North Queensland, Coerco designed and supplied a modular floating pontoon system capable of supporting 60-tonne pumps in a remote location with steep terrain and tight delivery requirements. The custom anchoring system enabled controlled lowering of the platform more than 180 metres as water levels changed, demonstrating technical precision and high-load performance onsite.

In Central Queensland’s mining region, Coerco partnered with Aqua Energy Group to deliver turnkey pontoon platforms and pump systems for liquid and tailings management. Engineered for heavy dynamic loads and operational safety, the systems incorporated modular access walkways and integrated controls for efficient deployment and operation in a demanding production environment.

These examples illustrate Coerco’s focus on performance where conditions are unpredictable and stakes are high.

Trust earned through delivery

Coerco applies a clear, documented workflow from specification and design through to production, delivery and ongoing support. Every solution is engineered to perform as promised, which has strengthened long-term partnerships with operators, engineers and contractors nationally.

Whether it’s a remote dewatering tank system, modular wastewater treatment package, or custom stormwater vault, the goal is always the same: make it easy for clients to get the job done right, the first time.

This mentality and approach, coupled with emerging opportunities in dewatering, access, and pontoon systems, has seen Coerco further strengthen its partnerships with industry leaders, engineers, contractors on a national scale.

Following IMARC 2025, Coerco have been in discussions on several new projects. Some of these include a floating walkway at Mt Isa’s George Fisher Mine, pontoon and sensor floats at Idemitsu’s Boggabri Coal mine, pontoon systems for both GPM’s Wallerawang Power Station and a Legacy Minerals mine, as well as MTF450 foam-filled floats for Birdon Group’s maritime assets. This reinforces that Coerco is not just selling — it's earning repeat work through performance and trust.

Coerco helps design, deliver, and support long-term solutions, which are backed by a full-strength in-house team, manufacturing capability, and customer-first culture. Its scale (82,000+ sqm of facilities, in-house engineering, ISO certification) gives it the ability to respond quickly to complex or remote projects.

This sustained performance has made Coerco a trusted supplier to Australia’s leading resource companies, delivering solutions that are built tough, built to last, and built for mining.
